Das Yachtreise- und Erlebnisunternehmen „Ocean Posse LLC“ freut sich, den Start seines neuen Ablegers „Atlantic Posse“ bekannt zu geben und damit eine ganz neue Art von Segelrallye nach Europa zu bringen.
Diese neuartige Freizeit-Regatta ist angelehnt an die äußerst erfolgreiche „Panama Posse“, einer der größten Rallyes der Welt, bei der es ebenfalls kein festgelegtes Start- oder Enddatum gibt, sondern in einen offenen Zeitfenster gesegelt wird.
Die gemeldeten 50-75 Yachten werden bei dieser Rallye 5.400 Seemeilen zurücklegen. Sie startet in Cartagena, Spanien, dem historischen Zentrum der spanischen Flotte, mit einem alternativen Startpunkt in Lissabon, Portugal. Die Route führt über Gibraltar nach Marokko, Madeira und die Kanarischen Inseln zum westafrikanischen Archipel der Kap Verden. Nach einem letzten Zwischenstopp geht es von dort aus direkt über den Atlantik nach Martinique, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Montserrat, St. Kitts und Nevis, Saba, den Amerikanischen Jungferninseln, Puerto Rico und schließlich in die Dominikanische Republik.
Die „Atlantic Posse“ bietet seinen Teilnehmern eine breite Unterstützung bei der Vorbereitung der Reise, der Wettervorhersage und der Routenplanung. Weiterhin gibt es ein Trackingsystem für jeden Teilnehmer und nicht zuletzt eine deutliche Preisermäßigung bei zahlreichen teilnehmenden Marinas und Yachthäfen.
Die geplante Westroute folgt den Passatwinden von der iberischen Halbinsel entlang der Küste Westafrikas über den Atlantik. Die Ostroute nutzt den Golfstrom und Hochdrucksysteme für Yachten, die von der Karibik über Bermuda, die Azoren nach Lissabon reisen. Alle Yachten fahren in ihrem eigenen Tempo, segeln sicher und haben Spaß.

El innovador Atlantic Posse es único porque no tiene una fecha de inicio o finalización establecida y sigue el modelo del exitoso Panama Posse, uno de los rallies más grandes del mundo.
Con una previsión de 50-75 yates, el rally cubrirá 5.400 millas náuticas. Comienza en Cartagena, España, el epicentro histórico de la flota española, con una ubicación de inicio adicional en Lisboa, Portugal. CARTAGENA, Spain – July 21, 2022 – Yachting travel experience company Ocean Posse LLC is thrilled to announce the launch of the Atlantic Posse, which will bring a new type of sailing rally to Europe. The innovative Atlantic Posse is unique because it doesn’t have a set start date or end date and is modeled after the highly successful Panama Posse, one of the largest rallies in the world.
Anticipating 50-75 yachts, the rally will cover 5,400 nautical miles. It begins in Cartagena, Spain, the historic epicenter of the Spanish Fleet, with an additional kickoff location in Lisbon, Portugal. The route will stop over in Gibraltar via Morocco, Madeira and the Canary Islands to Western Africa's Archipelago Cape Verde before crossing the Atlantic to Martinique, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saba, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
The Atlantic Posse will provide sailors with charting, tracking and marina discounts.
The westward route will follow trade winds from the Iberian Peninsula along the coast of West Africa across the Atlantic. The eastward route will take advantage of the Gulf Stream and high-pressure systems for yachts traveling from the Caribbean via Bermuda, the Azores to Lisbon.
